WHY SHOULD YOUR KID TRAIN JIU JITSU?
Jiu jitsu helps children develop their body-awareness, balance, and build confidence both on and off the mats. Developing body awareness at a young age will help your child succeed in future sports. Of course we suggest training jiu-jitsu for life, but we know that’s not realistic for all kids. By training Jiu-jitsu you will expose your kids to a full spectrum of physical challenges and muscle development. Jiu jitsu allows children to learn technical skills that can teach them to defend themselves in a positive, playful setting that will develop them for their future in sports as well as life.
On the very first day of class, you’ll arrive a little early (15 minutes). We want to get to know you and your child, plus we have a waiver for you to sign.
Once class starts we will open with some different movement or games to get everyone warmed up, and then the coach will help form everyone into partners and get started.
Games are a big part of our kids class. Drilling techniques can be boring and kids easily forget what they learned. By playing games that teach the same technique kids have more fun and develop at a much faster pace.
